Large kitchen appliances
Article Abstract:
A report on five major European markets, namely France, Italy, UK, Germany and Spain showed an over-all lax volume term performance on large kitchen appliances, excluding Italy, which registered a massive growth in volume and real value terms. The report, which covered the period 1992-1996, emphasized the influence of macroeconomic trend and stiff competition on global marketing. Among the key marketers examined were Whirlpool Co., General Electric Co. and Electrolux. It is also predicted that Italy will benefit from a 29.7% increase in volume terms until 2002, while Germany and France are expected to experience a fall in real value terms.
