Legal matters: What are the implications of the trends in building procurement?
Article Abstract:
Contracts submitted via the JCT design and build (D&B) form have gone up tremendously in recent years, according to a U.K. building procurement survey carried out by Davis Langdon & Everest in support of the RICS. It was also noted that contracts submitted via the D&B form are presently worth more than works s ubmitted via all JCT standard forms combined. The implications of the building procurement trends are discussed.
