London, Tokyo plan Asian exchange: start-ups market set with London bourse; drilling for listings

London Stock Exchange PLC and Tokyo Stock Exchange are planning to launch a new market as a joint venture aimed at servicing start-up companies in Japan and Asia. The market will be based in Tokyo and will use London's Alternative Investment Market as a model, and is expected to become operational by year-end 2008.
