London has the best city airport
Article Abstract:
London City Airport was chosen by more than 200 airlines as the 'Best City Airport' worldwide for the year 2000. This marks the second time the airport won the accolade, having won it the first time in 1998. The prestigious award was presented to the airport at the 2000 'Routes' held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. According to business development head Charles Buchanan, the award shows that London City is the airport of choice for most airlines as well as their business travellers.

Luton's transformation is complete

The transformation of London Luton into a modern airport was completed with the opening of its improved facilities in the airside departure lounges and arrivals area in 3rd qtr 2000. International investors acquire Bristol

UK's Bristol International Airport has been acquired by a joint venture company owned by Australia's Macquarie Bank and Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte from the First Group and Bristol City Council for about $300 million.
