Lost Porsche sales won't affect year goal
Article Abstract:
Porsche AG, a Germany-based luxury car maker, declared an overall sales loss of $22 million following three days of suspended production in May 1998. The halt which cost the production of around 500 cars, is attributed by the firm to the delayed delivery of motor crank cases from its supplier Kolbenschmidt AG. Nevertheless, Porsche believes the interruption will not affect its projected production for the fiscal year ending July 31, 1998. Porsche spokesperson Juergen Pippig said the firm will maintain its forecast of 38,000 units by the end of the period.
