Maclean Hunter name to be retired

Maclean Hunter Publishing Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, will change its name to Rogers Media Inc-Publishing by summer 1999. Maclean Hunter, a corporate name that began 112 years ago, is the only change that is expected to occur with the publishing firm. The name change was made in order to reflect the central role of the unit in Rogers Media Inc, a unit of the Rogers Group of Companies that also includes Rogers News Media and Rogers Broadcasting Ltd.

Wireless growth slows

According to the TNS Canadian Facts High Speed and Wireless Technologies study, despite three-fourths of all adult Canadians and nearly two-thirds of all Canadian households having Internet access, very few of them use wireless devices for going online. The various findings of the study are overviewed.
