Making more room for partners
Article Abstract:
The proposed industrial collaboration on the US Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program is potentially an attractive option. However, it also has some drawbacks. For example, intereseted non-US companies will be in a good position to obtain a great deal of business on the JSF, but they will have to obtain it on price and quality, and tie their operations tightly to those of the US prime contractors such as Boeing Co and Lockheed Martin Corp.
