Malaysia backs monorail

The Malaysian government had decided to help fund the controversial monorail project of KL PRT Sdn Bhd with a 300 mil ringgit concessionary loan. The move is likely to stir up more concerns regarding corporate bailouts in the country. The company has obtained government approval to conduct a public offering to amass more money to finish the 2.2-bil-rinngit project, according to Malaysian Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ling Liong Sik.

Firm sees virtual profit in Malaysian video arcades
Article Abstract:
Super Merge Corp. hopes to erase the negative perceptions most Malaysians have of video game arcades by opening a chain of indoor theme parks all over the country. Super Merge has opened its first Sega indoor theme park in Kuala Lumpur's Sungei Wang Plaza, a popular shopping mall with a high concentration of video arcades. Called Sega Satellite, the new arcade has attracted some 120,000 customers in its first month alone.
