Article Abstract:
The British public is opposed to losing street telephone kiosks in spite of having the use of mobile telecommunications technology. Telephone boxes are viewed as an important feature within the community even though they are rarely used. They do provide a place for local sex services to be advertised, however. The mobile-telecommunications industry is making fast advances in technology to improve the environment.
