Mazda sales zoom ahead in Europe, U.S.: net falls

Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda Motor Corp. is reporting increased revenue in the United States and Europe, bolstered by strong minivan sales. Sales in China and Japan, however, have been weak. Mazda is forecasting higher full-year earnings, with new model launches expected to help combat strong competition.

Auto makers shift to offset effects of soaring euro

German top car makers defy sluggish market

German automakers posted strong sales for October 2007, with overall new-car registrations for Europe rising 5.5% Registrations for BMW AG increased 29%, while Daimler AG reported a 12% increase. Registrations for Volkswagen AG were lower, as the firm posted a 1.6% rise.
