McDonald's net income surges 45%

McDonald's Corp. posted a record improvement of 45% in its net income for the second-quarter of 1999. The company saw strong gains in the US market. McDonald's posted $518 million (492.3 million euros) in net income for the period. During the same period in 1998, the company reported $357.2 million. McDonald's revenues reached $3.4 billion. This was an increase of 7% over the same period the year before.
