Article Abstract:
The international market for menswear of France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK was studied, covering 1989-1993. Menswear is defined as clothing for men 15 years old and above. With the failure of the clothing market as a whole, the menswear market logged losses more than the womenswear and the childrenswear. This market depression has been attributed to both recession and a more relaxed style of dressing which has severely affected the formal attire market. Of the five key markets studied, only Germany and Italy have posted growth since 1989, with Italy having the fastest rates of growth.

Article Abstract:
Dick Egan co-founded EMC Corp in 1979. The company grew rapidly and increased its market share with an estimated 38% of the data storage market in 1995 compared with from 35% to 27% for International Business Machines (IBM). Egan sees encouraging his engineers as a key part of his job, similar to the role of a cheerleader. He will also bet project developers that they cannot meet deadlines, and they win money if they meet them. The company pays well and also demands great effort from its employees.
