Millennium Pharmaceuticals has signed an agreement with Bayer, which is acquiring a stake of 14% in the company, set up in 1993 by Mark Levin. Levin is a chemical engineer and he has previously worked at Genetech and Miller Brewing, in process control. He is a generalist who has set up and run five companies in the biotech sector. He sees a need for continuous innovation and is prepared to buyin technology in order to keep abreast of new developments.
