Minnett dials into Rogers AT&T

David Minnett has been appointed as VP for marketing communications at Rogers AT&T Wireless, replacing Ania Russocki, who joined Toronto graphic design firm Spencer Francey Peters. Minnett was formerly the VP for marketing of Molson Canada's Ontario and Atlantic division and the COO of Pattern Discovery Software Systems. He will be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of all national advertising and marketing programs at Rogers AT&T Wireless.

Rogers connects to youth market

Rogers AT&T Wireless has unveiled two new advertising campaigns that would reinforce its brand image and promote the iD Wireless service to consumers aged between 12 to 24. The iD wireless package includes a cellular phone, optional pre-paid air time, two-way e-mail and text messaging. TV spots for the new service feature youths who talk freely about themselves. The iD campaign also includes outdoor ads, a month-long cinema campaign and radio ads.

Telus dials up Cantonese market
Article Abstract:
Telus Mobility has started an advertising campaign in Cantonese for Chinese Canadians living in the Toronto area that voice-mail services are now available in Cantonese. Telus had previously ran a similar and successful campaign for Chinese Canadians in Vancouver, BC, prompting the company to mount a bigger one in Toronto. The theme of the campaign, developed by The Chinese Agency in Vancouver, is that telephone messages are a treasure.
