Missed the 20%
Article Abstract:
Rentokil could achieve profit growth of some 15% in 1999, rather than a previous figureof 20%, and news of this drop in growth has affected the company's stock price. The company has offered quality and consistency and has been successful in attracting customers, but there are constraints in the United Kingdom market which accounts for more than half of Rentokil's profit. The company had set itself a goal of 20% annual profit growth which has been abandoned, and critics argue that this should have been done sooner.
