Investment brown-out
Article Abstract:
Brown's new budget included provisions that could hurt long-term business investment in the UK. The proposal to eliminate the tax rebate on pension funds will cost investors around $6.6 billion in FY 1996-97. Small reductions in the corporate tax rate are not enough to offset this.
