Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (NTT) has successfully completed a reorganization into a holding company on Jul 8, 1999. Under its revised corporate structure, NTT becomes the owner of two local telephone service providers, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corp and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corp. NTT even received a bonus from the reorganization in the form of a long-distance telephone service provider, NTT Communications Corp.
