Navigating the shake-up
Article Abstract:
China's new leaders hope to restructure major state bodies in an effort to make them more efficient and improve the country's economy. This will mean in the short term confusion and uncertainty could hamper foreign companies trying to do business there. In the long run, however, these reforms could, if effective, could greatly improve the government, and businesses.

As a result of the 1978 economic reform in China that allowed for private business, the founders of some of these companies are now ready to retire, and pass management to their children, as described in this article. The article includes sidebars discussing some of these companies.
