Nearing the end of a long road: Hong Kong's rickshaw drivers are vanishing with colonialism
Article Abstract:
Rickshaws are an endangered species as far as means of transportation is concerned in Hong Kong. They are fast being supplanted by bicycles or motorbike-powered carriages. Rickshaws are vehicles with two wheels which are pulled one person. They are popular only among tourists and celebrities. With the pending takeover by China of Hong Kong, the fate of the rickshaw appears doomed. China has banned their use as early as 1949.

Hong Kong's future after '97 rides on Tung's leadership
Article Abstract:

Tung bears watching as he is beholden to the committee which selected him.
