Netherlands: Amsterdam short of money for metro line
Article Abstract:
The City of Amsterdam needs another Fl 420mn to complete the Metro line between Amsterdam North and Amsterdam South. Some Fl 258mn is still required for the three stations, FL 60mn for preparation and administration, Fl 52mn for existing contracts and Fl 50 is still required by the state for indexing. The City hopes to reduce its portion of the debt and spread it over time. The project is expected to be delayed for two years and will only be complete in March 2011.
