Netherlands: Philips to give Asia priority
Article Abstract:
Kleisterlee, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Philips, the Dutch electronics company, has said the company will be giving priority to activities in Asia which provides 31% of Philips' turnover. The company currently has a strong base in China. Priority was previously give to the US activities which are currently not yielding results and may, if this does not improve, be cancelled.

Netherlands: NS director criticises employees
Article Abstract:
H. Noten, director of Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), has criticised its employees for their work relation and accused them of sabotaging the rail service by deliberately delaying the departure time. The company's works council has in turn criticised Noten for broadcasting such accusations on TV.
