Lysko flexes CFL marketing muscle

Canadian Football League Chmn Michael Lysko intends to capitalize on the resurging popularity of professional football in Canada. Lysko, the first league commissioner to have a marketing background, plans to focus on creating a brand identity that will appeal to two key demographics. These include the 12- to 17-year-old male and the 18- to 34-year-old male groups, two sectors that are sought by such advertisers as car manufacturers and beer companies.

Mitsubishi attempts second coming
Article Abstract:
Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America will start selling its full line of cars and SUVs in Canada in 2003. The company originally wanted to enter the Canadian market in 1998, but shelved plans due to huge operating losses incurred by its Japanese parent. Randy Sears has been appointed to head the future Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, and will oversee the establishment of more than 50 dealerships across Canada by the end of 2003.
