New push for the conventions business
Article Abstract:
Taiwan's tourism industry is set for increased promotion of conventions on the island and experiencing a boom in the building of resorts. Taiwan will host the annual general assembly of the International Congress and Convention Association and will take the opportunity to emphasize its advantages as a convention venue, such as international-class hotels, efficient manpower, central location within Asia and lenient visa procedures. The construction of resort hotels has been sparked by domestic business prospects due to better living standards and high cost of land and lack of good sites in cities.
