Nissan, Renault expand equity ties, share management
Article Abstract:
Nissan Motor Company Ltd. and Regie Nationale des Usines Renault are planning to become more closely integrated. Nissan will purchase 15% of Renault at a cost of about $1.3 billion while Renault will increase its stake in Nissan to 44.4% at a cost of about $1.77 billion. Exchange of executives through a joint management company will also help to make the bond stronger.
