Honda's designs, weak yen rev up outlook
Article Abstract:
Many analysts feel that Honda Motor Co. is in a good position to continue to increase its sales and stock price because it has recently been concentrating on improving production processes, cutting costs and developing new models rather than dealing with management problems like its competitors. Last year Honda sold 1.2 million cars in the U.S., and it expects next year's U.S. sales will increase 3.6%.

Honda throttles forward
Article Abstract:
Honda Motor stocks fell about 20% in August, partly due to the rising yen. However, analysts are forecasting that Honda shares could rise up to 50% in the next year. A 19.5% sales increase in Japan in the first half of 2001 is boosting profits for the carmaker.
