The Grameen Bank in Bangladesh is known for the innovative ways in which they have helped the poor people and their latest move makes salesmen out of beggars by offering them interest-free loans to start a business. Members who have been given identity badges are asked to sell merchandise while begging, and it is up to the individual to sell what they want as this could be bangles, match-boxes or even the local sari.

Golf club debentures in China are declining, partly due to oversupply. There are expected to be over 40 courses in the Pearl River delta region alone by 1998. Beijing called a halt to golf course construction a few years ago, due to concerns about the inefficient use of land. Many club members are now having difficulties in selling their membership.
