Nouns versus adjectives in country-of-origin communications
Article Abstract:
The mental associations produced by the name of a country and its adjective are not identical and are often conflicting. In such cases country-of-origin communication would require fine tuning. Specific research was undertaken with regard to planning advertising and repositioning products in two case studies. Nouns appear to have more power in their denotative meaning, while adjectives emphasize the connotative dimension. Country-of-origin studies should incorporate the issue of nouns versus adjectives.

A comparison of ratings methods: telephone versus diary
Article Abstract:
Recent research undertaken by BBM assessed the feasibility of an aided recall diary system to investigate radio listening habits. This used peel and stick sheets showing a roster of radio stations. It was found that this approach produces more accurate information about radio listening habits, as it is easy for participants to complete, produces a higher return rate and is easier to edit.
