Now, that's a political filter
Article Abstract:
The political unrest in East Timor may become a bonanza for Timor coffee growers. Inurrection, as was discovered in Central America, means farmers are forced to farm organically, which makes their coffee of interest to specialty coffee companies. The U.S. Agency for International Development now funds a $3-million program to teach growers organic techniques. Holland Coffee and Starbucks have both shown interest in a Timor crop unpolluted by chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
