O&M contract financing for foreign projects
Article Abstract:
The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Eximbank) has created a program to extend credit and guarantee support to operations and management (O&M) contracts involving foreign projects. The program covers the costs to be incurred in relation to the contract, home office and spare parts costs, travel expenses and specific activities within a manufacturing plant. However, it does not cover raw materials, operating supplies, wages of project owner's personnel and expatriate personnel foreign living expenses. Eligibility is based on a project's long-term benefits to the owner or the host nation and its ability to meet Eximbank criteria.

A novel methodology that will be used both as a guide in prioritizing environmental projects in Jordan and an assessment tool for evaluating their environmental impact was developed. The proposed method uses the nominal group technique as a structured group decision process and the PROMETHEE as a multi-criteria decision aid software. The methodology was found to be reliable since it has the capacity to integrate several analytical decision management techniques that increase the flexibility and efficiency of environmental planning.
