Toyota is coming out of years of sluggish marketing to blitz the international market with new factories opening in Europe and the US. This will offset the high value of the yen which causes cars imported directly from Japan to be too expensive. The firm is also courting Japanese buyers.

New rules under consideration by the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants would change the way companies there raise capital through the equity warrant market. The rules are designed to bring Japanese accounting standards more in line with international standards.
