One-by-one airport sales. (Australia set to sell 22 airports separately)_
Article Abstract:
Australia is set to dispose of the 22 airports run by its Federal Corporation on a one-off basis rather than selling them as a group. Among those expected to contend for the airports are the UK's BAA PLC, Lockheed Air Terminals of the US and Schipol Airport Amsterdam. The sale has been forced on the government by the need to reduce its budget deficit. Federal Corporation's 1994 revenue totalled $333 million. Among the larger airports to be privatised are Sydney's Kingsford Smith and Melbourne's Tullamarine.

Argentine airports approach completion
Article Abstract:
The privatization of Argentina's national airport system is due for completion by September 1997. The delay in passing a privatization bill has mainly been caused by local government ownership of many of the airports included in the system. To speed up the process, some 18 state-owned airports are to be privatized. Separately, a law has been passed permitting the $200 million privatization of the Atucha I and Atucha II nuclear power stations with a joint capacity of 1,000 MW.
