Article Abstract:
This article discusses the South Korean government's plans to promote competition in education by allowing foreign universities to set up operations in the country. The government has not yet decided whether to open elementary and high Scholl education to foreign organizations. The move is opposed by many, especially teachers.

Recent allegations of fraud and illegal stock dealings against SK Group and investigation by regulators into the workings of company in South Korea have created an atmosphere of doubt and mistrust in the industry. The dropping level of investor confidence and measures taken to regain it are discussed.
