Oracle Corp. of the United States posted a 2.1 percent fall in profit to $798 million from $815 million (last year) in the second quarter. And a 19 percent increase in revenue to $3.29 billion from $2.76 billion, a year earlier. The earnings report suggests further costs associated with the PeopleSoft Inc. acquistion and possible slowdown of the software companies core database interest.
