The Hong Kong stock exchange is definitely experiencing a bear market rather than a mere correction. The Hang Sang declined 31% in 1994 and continues to drop in Jan 1995. Hopes for an improved market in the rest of 1995 depend on stable Hong Kong property values and US interest rates.
