The fighting in Bosnia and Herzegovina could be winding down, as the new Yugoslavia's army command has ordered its soldiers out of the area. Bosnian Serbs and Croats have been meeting to slice up the territory they can agree on, and then continue fighting over what they cannot agree on.

The newly independent republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina stands on the brink of a civil war involving three ethnic groups: Serbs, Croats, and Muslims. Sporadic fighting has already begun in Sarajevo and Bijeljina, due in large part to aggressive Serbian militia detachments.
