Global players
Article Abstract:
Switzerland's presence in the international markets is disproportionate to its size. Many Swiss companies generate the vast majority of their earnings overseas. The biggest Swiss multinationals include Nestle, the ABB group, and chemical giants Ciba and Sandoz. These companies invest heavily in foreign markets and are also considered important employers in these markets. In the US alone, Swiss organizations employ nearly a quarter of a million local residents.
