Namchai Chewawiwat and coworkers in Thailand's National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (Biotec), have developed a powerful toxin that kills mosquitoes larvae, and could thereby help reduce malaria infection. This discovery could also help eradicate other illnesses such as West Nile virus.
