CEZ (Prague, Czech Republic), power firm, expects a net profit of CEK 5.4 bil in 2001. The sum is CEK 1 bil lower compared to the firm's estimate of the end of Feb 2001. The company decreased the estimate consequent on troubles with the arrangement of contracts on electric power withdrawal with regional companies. CEZ saw a net profit of CEK 3.3 bil for 1Q 2001 compared to CEK 2.9 bil for 1Q 2000. Its proceeds for electric power including supporting services sold through the transmission system were CEK 14.3 bil for 1Q 2001, CEK 0.3 bil more compared to 1Q 2000. The firm's proceeds for the sales of electric power to distribution power companies totalled CEK 10.55 bil for 1Q 2001, 2.8% less compared to 1Q 2000. CEZ sold 10,514 GWh of electric power to distribution companies for 1Q 2001, 0.3% more compared to 1Q 2000.

It saw a profit of CEK 626.5 mil in 2000 compared to CEK 551 mil in 1999. The firm's proceeds from sales totalled CEK 13.023 bil in 2000, 0.1% more compared to 1999. The company supplied 7,471.8 GWh of electric power in 2000, 0.004% less compared to 1999. The firm's property includes four hydro-electric power plants.

CEZ (Prague, Czech Republic), power firm, saw a profit of CEK 7.237 bil in 2000, according to international accounting standards. The sum is 68.7% higher compared to 1999. The company's total proceeds decreased by CEK 0.9 bil to CEK 52.7 bil in 2000 compared to 1999. The proceed drop was caused by a decrease in the sales of CEZ's electric power to distribution firms. CEZ's export volume increased by 6,787 GWh, 120.3%, in 2000 compared to 1999.
