Precheza will invest
Article Abstract:
Precheza (Prerov, Czech Republic), titanium and ferric pigment manufacturer, will invest a total of 550 mil Kc in 1999-2000. The firm's production capacity will increase by about 30% due to the investments. About 250 mil Kc of the sum will be invested in 1999. The sum will be used for the extension of the firm's production and the protection of the environment. The company will cover the investments mainly from its sources. Precheza expects its proceeds to increase by about 10% in 1999 compared to 1998. The firm expects a similar gross profit in 1999 as in 1998. Precheza's proceeds rose by 12.5% to 1.374 bil Kc in 1998 compared to 1997. The company saw a gross profit of 144 mil Kc in 1998. In 1998 the firm exported 84% of its production, mainly to countries of the European Union and North America.

Schneider will invest
Article Abstract:
Schneider (Plzen, Czech Republic), meat processor, should invest over CEK 50 mil in the construction of a logistics centre in 2001. The firm saw a profit of over CEK 35 mil and a turnover of CEK 1.3 bil in 2000. According to turnover, Schneider took the fifth position among meat and smoked goods producers in the Czech Republic in 2000.
