Splirec invests
Article Abstract:
Splirec Czech (SCZ) (Chuderice, Czech Republic), car window and windscreen manufacturer, should invest 319 mil Kc in 1999. The finances are intended for the modernisation of production and the launching of new products. The company has just commissioned a new plant at a cost of 105 mil Kc. The plant is involved in the special treatment of car windows and windscreens. The financing of the plant's construction was ensured by the multinational glass group Glaverbel (Belgium) and Recticel (Belgium). Each of the firms holds a 50% stake in SCZ.

Cechofracht has a two-third share on the Czech forwarding market
Article Abstract:
Cechofracht (Prague, Czech Republic), forwarding firm, will implement its own domestic distribution system from the middle of 2001. A new logistics centre in Nupaky with a capacity of 3,300 pallets will be utilized for the project. Cechofracht saw a turnover of CEK 3 bil and maintained a one-third share on the Czech forwarding market in 2000. It transported 650,000 t of parcels for 10,000 clients in 2000. About 50% of the quantity were represented by road transport, one third by sea transport and one seventh by railway and air transport.
