Pricing, routing, and incentive compatibility in multiserver queues
Article Abstract:
Several models are used to analyze the pricing and incentive issues involved in the assignment of customers to servers that suffer congestion effects. The models are employed in evaluating the different parameters that affect pricing, routing and incentive compatibility, such as the waiting time and customer arrival rates. Results indicate that the optimal pricing and routing scheme is incentive compatible when customers are made to pay a price that reflects the cost they impose on other customers.

Performance bounds on multiserver exponential tandem queues with finite buffers
Article Abstract:
A proposed approach for computing the lower and upper bounds of the throughput of tandem queueing systems with finite buffers is outlined with the proof of the bounds based on a path comparison method. The performance of the bounds under various configurations are analyzed based on a set of numerical results. Results show that closed queue networks which are open to simultaneous blocking also exhibit closed form solutions in complex routing designs.

Parametric nonlinear programming for analyzing fuzzy queues with finite capacity
Article Abstract:
A procedure for the membership functions of the performance measures in finite-capacity queueing systems, with the arrival rate and service rate being fuzzy numbers, is described. The finite-capacity queueing models will have wider applications by extending it to fuzzy environment.
