Putting Gary Rhodes on the design menu
Article Abstract:
Architectural firm JSP has designed a restaurant for chef Gary Rhodes in New Street Square, London, England. This has a dining room at first-floor level behind a band of glazing across the width of the building. The dining room is reached via a stainless-steel stair from a glazed entrance area. The overall design is intended to be simple, but not minimal, with the space being comfortable, rather than intimidating. A key design element is the achievement of maximum floor-to-ceiling height throughout the restaurant.

Simplicity of the curve and triangle
Article Abstract:
The interior design of the Real Decorating Company (RDC) studio and showroom in London, England, has a theme of curves and triangles. Designers Dan and Victoria Brill have also made sure the decoration was simple, to give prominence to the displays of RDC paints and plaster finishes. Features which emphasize the decorative theme include the curved structural glass panel in the floor by the front window, the curved glass display case containing bowls of natural pigments, and the triangular shop counter.
