Quebec's distinct specialty TV
Article Abstract:
Frech-language specialty channels in Quebec, Canada, lag behind their counterparts in English Canada in terms of share of audiences and advertising revenues. However, some of the specialty channels in the province are gaining a foothold by combining the best in English-language content with original programs that take into account cultural differences. Some of these French channels include MusiquePlus with 1.1% of audience share, MusiMax with 0.8%, Canal Vie with 1.9%, Canal D with 2.9% and French Teletoon with 4.4%.
