RAMCO SYSTEMS PLANS TO FOCUS ON ERP FOR VERTICAL MARKETS

Ramco Systems of Chennai plans to focus on vertical markets - product verticals and industry verticals - in addition to its core business of enterprise resource planning (ERP). The product verticals will include Ramco Enterprise Asset Management, process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, human resources management and commercials. The industry vertical will include banking and insurance, oil and gas, power, defence, telecommunication, transportation and railways. It has signed up with channel partners like Mecon, Neptune Information Systems, PunCom, Global Telesystems and IIQ Systems. (rk) (kvr)

NRL PLANS TO IMPLEMENT RAMCO MARSHAL
Article Abstract:
Numaligarh Refineries Ltd (NRL), a joint venture between the government of Assam and Bharat Petroleum Corporation, has decided to implement Ramco Marshal, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software developed by Ramco Systems of Chennai. NRL is setting up three million tonnes refinery at an estimated Rs2725 crore in Assam. RSPRINT, Ramco's implementation strategy will be deployed initially for 250 users and is expected to increase to 450 users later. The ERP package will be used from the beginning of the refinery's operations. (khr)

Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants (India) Ltd, a Government of India enterprise, is one of the largest design, engineering and consultancy organisations in India. It focuses on offering ERP solutions to these sectors. It is setting up a Ramco Marshal competence centre at its Ranchi facility. (tsm)
