RAMCO SYSTEMS SETS UP RADAR SECURITY TEAM
Article Abstract:
Ramco Systems Datacom (RSD), a division of Ramco Systems, Ramco Group of Chennai, has floated a security system for networking called RADAR (Ramco intrusion Detective Analysis and Response). Radar consists of a team of security professionals to provide services like identifying the network and system security vulnerabilities and threats. It also offers emergency response mechanisms to network security threats. Radar is built in association with Internet Security Systems (ISS) of US in July 1998. The service provides security from both internal and external hackers. RSD's tie up with ISS has helped RSD bring to India ISS' Safe Suite family of products including leading intrusion and vulnerability detection software, Internet scanner, RealSecure and System Security scanner. RSD targets Internet Service Providers, banks and financial services, large corporates and government bodies. (um)

APTECH OPENING CENTRES IN VIETNAM
Article Abstract:
Aptech Ltd is opening computer education and training centres in Vietnam. It has signed a memorandum of understanding with an agency in the Vietnam ministry of science for offering consultancy services. It will set up six centres within a year, of which two will be set up at Hanoi and Hochinminh by September 1999. The company expects to train 300-600 students at each centre for a fee of about $1000 per student per year. (khr)
