KEEPING UP WITH HISTORY: NEHRU, INDIRA GIVE WAY TO DEEN DAYAL
Article Abstract:
The government has decided to drop the names of Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi from employment and housing schemes. The Indira Awas Yojna will now become a part of the Samagra Awas Yojna. The Jawahar Rozgar Yojna will be modified and renamed as the Gram Samridhi Yojna. A new scheme for weavers is being named as Deen Dayal Hathkargha Protsahan Yojna, after the first president of the Jan Sangh. The department of rural development has been allocated Rs2765 crore in 1999-2000. (khr)

DOMINO'S PIZZA TO OPEN 100 OUTLETS BY 2002
Article Abstract:
Domino's Pizza India Ltd (DPIL), a fast-food chain, proposes to set up 100 outlets by the year 2002. It proposes to set up 3 more outlets in Delhi, 1 more in Mumbai, 2 more in Chennai and Bangalore each by March 1999. It will also be opening an outlet in Calcutta by the end of 1999 and 1 in Ahmedabad by March 1999. In the next 2 years, DPIL plans to open outlets in Hyderabad, Kochi, Coimbatore, Surat, Baroda, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Jalandhar. (ag)
