RWE's net more than doubles, helped by gains in stake sales

RWE posts 35% rise in earnings, but warns about regulatory issues

RWE AG of Germany net profit for the second quarter soared by 35 percent to 611 million Euros ($786 million) from 452 million Euros last year. Financial projections may however come in as originally announced due to regulatory provisions. Strong revenues were due to increased electricity production and sales.
