RadioMobil offers Internet telephony
Article Abstract:
RadioMobil AS, a Czech GSM operator, is offering international phone service via the Internet through its Paegas service. The new offering has been launched in 24 countries in Europe and overseas at tariffs of 39 US cents and 60 US cents per minute. All RadioMobil subscribers can avail of the easy-to-use service, which requires only a standard mobile telephone and an extra two-digit code before making a call. However, RadioMobil admits that call quality is lower compared with traditional fixed-line phone service and although Internet prices are low, they are still undercut by callback operators.
