Reformable?
Article Abstract:
Liberian president, Charles Taylor, was involved in the country's civil war, and promised peace if he were elected. Aid to Liberia goes through non-governmental agencies, and this could change. Liberia needs aid, due to the destruction of infrastructure in the civil war. There is a free press, though newspapers are too expensive for most Liberians. Taylor has control of the economy, and his son runs the Anti-Terrorist Unit, which helps maintain his control, and holds more power than the police and armed forces.
