Why E-tickets don't fly
Article Abstract:
Though more than 70% of air travel in the U.S. is conducted with e-tickets, the service has yet to win over passengers in Asia. Asian airlines have invested large amounts of money to install e-ticketing services, but a combination of customers who feel more comfortable with paper, a confusing set of standards for the use of e-tickets, and travel agents who maintain that paper tickets are their one last link to customers leave the e-ticketing segment widely unused.

Travelers get poor connections at Asian airlines' Internet sites
Article Abstract:
The sorry state of Asian airlines' World Wide Web sites shows that the industry has a lot of catching up to do with its US counterparts. Unlike the Internet sites of US airlines which are easy to follow and are true representatives of electronic commerce, the Web sites of Asia's leading airlines are a muddle of errors and poor service. Aside from poor service, booking of airline tickets and their corresponding prices is not standard in those Web sites.
